Tema Rockets have missed out on progressing to the Tema Community Basketball League Finals after suffering a 38-56 loss to Nungua Coldstore.

Despite taking a 46-42 win in Game One, Rockets failed to build on the encouraging start and make it to its debut league finals appearance.

Defending champions Coldstore did a fine job rotating members of its deep roster to clinch back to back wins and qualify to a third finals appearance.

However, Rockets implosion in the third quarter in Game 2 and second quarter in Game 3 contributed to the lopsided losses in both games.

Tema failed to record offensive rebounds-giving Coldstore multiple second chance opportunities- and track Coldstore players on backdoor cuts.

Turnovers were also a problem for Rockets who attempted several full court passes in desperate attempts to catch up after falling 16-38 in the second quarter.

Rockets shooting woes was an issue (Aninagyei Osei made one of eight free throws in the third quarter) but failing to reduce the chances for Coldstore to score ultimately cost Tema a place in the finals.
