Nungua Coldstore Basketball Club Captain Kwame Boamah Djan has expressed utmost gratitude to all who supported in raising funds for the leukemia treatment of teammate Gerald Sappor.

Coldstore Power Forward Sappor was diagnosed with Leukemia and a special competition organized to raise awareness about leukemia was organized on Sunday, February 9 at the University of Ghana (UG) Main Court.

A host of teams including coldstore and Sappor’s Alma Mater UG participated in the competition that had Politician John Dumelo as a Guest Speaker.

In a statement on his Twitter page, Djan was full of appreciation to people who supported the course saying:

“Team Gerald wishes to express our profound gratitude to you for your amazing support…we are still accepting donations for our brother”.

Sappor graduated from UG in 201 after helping the institution win two Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Titles. With Coldstore, Sappor has two Tema Community Basketball League titles to his name.

Coldstore is due to battle Spintex Knights for its third Tema League title beginning February 16 at Tema’s Community Court.
