WNBA Forward Angel McCoughtry has signed with Las Vegas Aces per reports reaching Basketballghana.com as a free agent.

The veteran player has officially left Atlanta Dream after 10 seasons since the Dream drafted her number one overall in the 2009 WNBA Draft.

McCoughtry signed as a free agent after her release from Atlanta in January this year; in what turned out to be her final season with the Dream, McCoughtry hardly played as she recovered from a knee injury.

The two time Olympic gold medal winner visited Ghana during her recovery and headlined the country’s first ever all female basketball camp. She also witnessed the Girls Final at the Sprite Ball Championship in 2019.

McCoughtry joins stars Liz Cambage and A’ja Wilson in Las Vegas as she hunts for her first WNBA title; the former is a five time All Star and a two time WNBA scoring champion in her career.

The Aces made it to the semifinals in last season’s playoffs and it is expected McCoughtry’s addition should get them the league title.
