All Nations University College has clinched a 27-22 win over Koforidua Technical University in Zone One of the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

The game took place at the Pope John Senior High School and required a late Jeffrey Naah three point shot to effectively give All Nations the win.

All Nations missed a host of easy shots and was under threat of ceding its game lead to the 2019 Zone One Champions Koforidua Technical.

Koforidua Technical had a surge in the third quarter with key players Frank Wobil and Derrick Quansah as the main drivers of the big run that had them trail 20-22 with four minutes left to play. Muhtar Hafiz and Aziz Mutawakil were pivotal in All Nations win.

The teams traded baskets before Naah’s late three pointer that decided the contest and dump Koforidua Technical out of the competition after back to back losses.

On the other hand, All Nations plays Radford University College for the zonal title. The 2020 UPAC is sponsored by CAL Bank, Decathlon and MTN.
