US Monastir Shooting Guard/Point Guard Alhaji Mohammed has stated he is working out and trying to stay in shape in the midst of a global shutdown of basketball because of the Corona Virus pandemic.

He made the statement in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com regarding the suspension of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) in March.

The FIBA Africa-NBA competition was due to commence in early March but was canceled due to the rapid spread of the Corona Virus. The suspension was a preventive measure and players have been urged to stay home.

While observing the call to self isolate, the veteran player is using his time off basketball to stay in shape for the upcoming campaign.

“The virus has stopped all sports around the world. So I’m just using this time to work out and spend time with my family. I will continue to train hard at home and stay in shape he said.

Monastir is one of 12 teams to feature in the BAL.
