Former Ghanaian Basketball player Pops Mensah-Bonsu has urged all to stay home in the wake of the Corona Virus pandemic that has hit the world very hard.

He delivered the message via the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Twitter page recently; staying at home is a preventive measure to stop the spread of the virus that has infected over a million people worldwide.

Mensah-Bonsu is an administrator at NBA Gatorade League outfit Capital City Go-Go after playing in the NBA with teams like Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors.

“During these difficult times, I will say lets continue to stay together and stay positive. These are defining moments for us all and in a few years time we’ll be able to look back and smile and say we were able to withstand and overcome these difficult times. So let’s stay home and stay strong” he said.

Mensah-Bonsu represented Great Britain internationally but was born to Ghanaian parents; the BAL has been suspended until further notice due to the Corona Virus with the competition due to commence on March 13.
