Chief Executive Officer of Rite Sports Limited Yaw Sakyi Afari has communicated his vision of creating a basketball ecosystem in Ghana Basketballghana.com can confirm.

He made this known in a Question and Answer session held recently where he also dropped some controversial statements in connection to his role in the sport in the West African country.

The veteran media personality expressed his intention to build a basketball “ecosystem” in Ghana’s sports landscape which is dominated by football.

“What’s my vision for basketball in Ghana, well, to create an ecosystem. Every single person in the basketball space would stand to benefit if you have a healthy basketball ecosystem…lets develop the capacity of officials, let’s get more referees, let’s get more leagues running in the country, let’s have an arena. That is what I want to see, if we want basketball to have commercial value then it has to be in every corner of the country” he said.

Rite Sports Limited is the name behind Ghana’s biggest basketball competitions including the UPAC.
