Spintex Knights Basketball Club has a new Coach for the 2020 Tema Community Basketball League after replacing Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi with Thomas Amediku.
The change comes on the back of 2019 season debut for Knights with the club missing out on the league title to Nungua Coldstore.
The new season is yet to have a start date due to the ban on social gatherings that has forced all sports activities to stop. The ban was put in place to slow the spread of the Corona Virus which infected over 5000 people in Ghana at the time of writing.
By making the switch, Spintex follow the path of Coldstore who made a similar change after losing to Ashaiman Lions in the semifinals of the 2017 playoffs.
Kenneth Caesar was replaced by Wendell Otoo; Otoo doubles as the bankroller of the club that has won three of four League titles since the competition’s inception.
Knights would be hoping the change gets them over the hump this season.
