2019 Tema League Champs Coldstore

Nungua Coldstore Basketball Club Captain Kwame Boamah Djan is clearly not perturbed by the exit of reigning Tema Community Basketball League Most Valuable Player Joel Tham.

He made his feelings clear in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com following Tham’s departure to fellow league side Spintex Knights just this past weekend.

Tham made the move official mere months after leading Coldstore to its second title in a row via a 2-0 series sweep in the 2019 Finals against Knights.

Despite the loss of the excellent Point Guard, Boamah is bullish about Nungua’s chances to come back strong in the 2020 campaign.

“Coldstore we are full of surprises so if one juggernaut leaves just know that three juggernauts come in and it (the move) wasn’t a surprise because he gave us prior notice before he left” Djan said.

Nungua is yet to announce any signing this offseason as the wait continues for the 2020 season to commence; the league was scheduled to commence in April but the spread of COVID 19 has prevented authorities from doing so.
