A handful of veteran players and club managers in the Tema Community Basketball League have pledged to fund Phase 2 of the Tema Community 4 Basketball Court renovation.

The plan was recently unveiled exclusively to Basketballghana.com to improve amenities at the facility that has hosted Tema League games since the competition’s inception in 2016.

Manager of Spintex Knights Club Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi and Nungua Coldstore Club Manager Wendell Otoo are to join forces with players from Tema Community 2 and Tema Rockets to see out the project’s completion.

Prince Owusu-Anning, Enoch Borsah, Aninagyei Dwamena, Senanu Sebuafor, Charis Djin, Kofi Brace and Julian are long tenured players in the league who are due to contribute to this project.

Phase 1 encompasses replacing rims and backboards at the court and Coldstore Manager Otoo is solely funding it. Repainting the court and constructing washrooms at the facility forms Phase 2 of the renovation project.

The project is scheduled to be completed before the 2020 League season tips off.
