Ghanaian-Italian Basketball Player Awudu Abass has high ambitions for the upcoming season with new side Virtus Bologna after signing during the offseason.

Abass moved from Germani Brescia after a two year run with the team that had them compete in the EuroCup; Abass’ fine form was rewarded with a run with the Italian National Team at the 2019 Basketball World Cup held in China.

According to news outlet Sportando, the 28 year old Shooting Guard/ Small Forward was upbeat about his team’s chances of having a successful season.

“I signed to Virtus to win back the Scudetto-league title-and return to the EuroLeague…The Club and I want to grow together through success” he said.

Abass won the league title during his time with Olimpia Milano in 2016 before joining Brescia where his performances and minutes on the court improved.

Born to a Ghanaian father in Italy, the athletic Swingman won the Under 20 Euro Basket with Italy in 2013 and averaged 13 points and four rebounds last season.
