Bentil celebrates a basket against Barcelona in the EuroLeague last season with Calathes in background

After a brief run in the NBA, Ghana Basketball star Ben Bentil is still keeping tabs on happenings in the league especially the ongoing playoffs.

Following Luka Doncic’s late three point shot to clinch a 135-133 win for Dallas Mavericks over Los Angeles Clippers in overtime. The win ties the seven game series four games into the series.

Reacting to Doncic’s big time play, Bentil wrote “That Boy Luka Kold” on his Twitter page; Bentil spent his brief time in the NBA with Dallas Mavericks.

His time in Dallas got Bentil into the record books again as he became the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA; he played in three games during his 10 day contract with the Mavericks.

Bentil is preparing for his second season with Greek giants Panathinaikos in Greece after completing his debut season in the 2019-2020 campaign which was cut short due to the corona virus pandemic.

He plays the Power Forward and Small Forward positions and was drafted 51st overall in the 2016 NBA Draft.
