Bentil celebrates a basket against Barcelona in the EuroLeague last season with Calathes in background

Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian Basketball player Ben Bentil was part of the guests who spoke at the SEED Academy Ghana Virtual Basketball Camp.

The Camp was hosted in a virtual format to comply with COVID 19 related restrictions in Ghana that bans contact sports including basketball.

The maiden edition of the Camp was held in Ghana’s capital, Accra last year and had over 50 participants present for the one day event.

The 2020 edition took place on Thursday, August 27 with Academy Founder Pops Mensah-Bonsu headlining the list of guest speakers at the event.

Issues on Women in Sports, Mental Health and Player Development were touched on by guests including Liz Mills (Coach of Basketball Africa League outfit Patriots Basketball Club) and South Sudan Basketball Federation President Luol Deng.

Bentil was a late addition to the list of speakers as he prepares to compete in his third season in Greece and his second with Panathinaikos. He is the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA after getting drafted 51st overall in 2016.
