Ghanaian-Italian Guard David Cournooh continues his impressive start to life for his new team Vanoli Cremona in the Italian circuit.

The veteran player led Cremona to a 75-69 win over Reggio Emilia in the Italian Super Cup; it is the first win for Cremona in the ongoing competition.

Cournooh bagged double digits in back to back losses in two games but his 21 point outing got Cremona to clinch its first win of the season.

The Super Cup precedes the 2020-2021 Serie A campaign that is set to commence on September  27 and Cournooh’s strong start means he is in line to feature in the starting unit.

He transferred to Cremona this offseason after spending two seasons at fellow Serie A side Virtus Bologna where featured in limited minutes.

Jarvis Williams

Teammate TJ Williams, Jarvis Williams and Marcus Lee contributed with double digit scores of their own; Jarvis scored 16 points in the game.

Cremona plays Reggio again on Monday, September 7 at 18:30 GMT.
