In an interview with Italian Regional Newspaper La Provincia di Cremona, Ghanaian-Italian Basketball Player has stated defending comes naturally to him.

The 30 year old Guard who is in his first season with Serie A side Vanoli Cremona, made the statement earlier this week on his play on the less glamorous side of the court.

“Am I a great defender? Let’s say it comes naturally to put pressure on my opponent, he charges me. In football I was a striker, now I only play on PlayStation” he said.

Cournooh is the starting Point Guard on Cremona’s roster after spending a couple of years off the bench at Virtus Bologna, the veteran Guard has been involved in all league games in the 2020-2021 season.

In five games, Cremona has two wins and is coming off an 83-85 loss to Trento in its last league appearance; Cournooh registered nine points, two rebounds and two assists in 39 minutes.

For the season, he is averaging five points, 3. 2 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 29 minutes.
