Basketballghana.com gathers Ghanaian rising basketball star Nathan Mensah is in line to feature in his first competitive game in almost a year.
Since December 19, the 6 foot 10 inch Center has been absent for San Diego State University Men’s team due to a health scare that forced him to miss a huge chunk of the 2019-2020 season.
Mensah played 13 games last season before being diagnosed with pulmonary embolism after complaining of shortness of breath.
He recently returned to training in a group setting as he joined his teammates in offseason training sessions to prepare for the 2020-2021 US Men’s College Basketball season.
San Diego play UCLA in its opening game of the campaign at 3:30 AM on Thursday, November and Mensah is expected to start; Basketballghana.com gathers he will continue to use blood thiners.
Mensah and his teammates go into the season as defending Mountain West Conference Champions after winning 30 of 32 games last season. The former Accra based player averaged 6.9 points in his short season in the last campaign.
