The debut game for Ghanaian young basketball player Derick Fiifi Quansah has delayed due to cancellation of multiple games Basketballghana.com can report.

Quansah is in his first/ freshman year at East Carolina University after graduating from Hargrave Military Academy High School and is expected to play a limited role this season mostly off the bench.

However, he is yet to play a game for the Pirates as a handful of games scheduled for the start of the 2020-2021 season have been cancelled with COVID 19 playing a part in the cancellations.

East Carolina was expected to play against Indiana State University and Austin Peay or Omaha University on November 25 and November 26 but both games were cancelled.

The game against Charlotte University went on as planned with East Carolina winning 66-57 but Quansah wasn’t featured in the contest delaying his debut further.

The 6 foot 11 inch Quansah plays the Center position and was based in Cape Coast in Ghana before relocating to the United States of America.
