Basketballghana.com can confirm registration of players and teams for the Africa Basketball Festival’s Skills Challenge event has ended.

The process came to an end this past weekend on Saturday, December 5 with the event set to take place later this month with 10 teams expected to participate.

Each team should have five players on its roster to compete in various facets of basketball including three point shooting and dribbling past multiple obstacles.

The upcoming event is set to be one of the few basketball events to be held following the end of a ban on contact sports participation in Ghana due to the corona virus.

The Skills Challenge will feature a handful of corona virus related restrictions for players and fans alike including the wearing of nose masks.

This year’s version of the Africa Basketball Festival throws more light on the skills of players from Ghanaian communities; last year’s edition had a slam dunk contest and the All Star Game between Accra and Tema and was held at the Sports Emporium in Bukom in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
