Ghana Center Nathan Mensah powered San Diego State Men’s Basketball Team to its latest win in the 2020-2021 US Men’s College Basketball season.
Mensah did so as a starter as he helped The Aztecs record their fifth win in as many games thanks to a 80-68 result against Arizona State University.
The 6 foot 11 inch Center registered 17 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks, a steal and an assist in the 12 point win for his side. Mensah played 28 minutes in the game.
It is the third player’s first double digit scoring output of the season and double digit rebounding output too; prior to this performance, Mensah had recorded single digits in both categories.
Nathan gathered four offensive rebounds and 11 defensive rebounds and converted seven of 12 attempts from two point range and scored three out of four free throw attempts. He however, missed both three point shot attempts.
This is another important positive step for Mensah who played just 13 games last season due to a respiratory illness.
