Takoradi Technical University v University of Mines and Technology in 2020 UPAC Zone Two Qualifier

Basketballghana.com understands upcoming competitions this month will see out what has been a turbulent basketball season with the turbulence directly impacted by the corona virus pandemic.

The Skills Challenge under the banner of the Africa Basketball Festival and Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship are organized by RITE Sports Limited.

Both competitions are due to be staged in the final fortnight of 2020 with this year’s UPAC due to take place on Tuesday, December 29 and Wednesday, December 30 at the Tema Community 4 Court.

The Skills Challenge will feature players represent various teams and compete to best each other across several facets of basketball including three point shooting contest.

Unlike previous years where 32 institutions competed in the UPAC, this year’s edition will feature a reduced field of competing tertiary institution in an invitational format.

Only eight institutions will compete in the tournament which has had University of Ghana win the past four editions in consecutive fashion.
