Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Center Amida Brimah and a host of players have been cut from teams in the NBA with the new season due to commence later this week.

The 2020-2021 NBA Season commences on Thursday, December 24 and teams have made final decisions to their respective rosters for the season after completing preseason games.

6 foot 10 inch defender Brimah was waived by Indiana Pacers after signing for the team last month on an Exhibit 10 contract; this was the second time Brimah signed such a deal with Pacers after doing so last season.

Brimah failed to appear in any preseason game Pacers played over the past week and reports indicate he wasn’t with the team during the preseason campaign.

Reasons for his absence are yet to be reported but Brimah is likely to be assigned to Indiana’s affiliate team in the NBA’s Gatorade League-G League. The former University of Connecticut player has played in the G League for two seasons.
