Basketballghana.com can report Radford University College Point Guard Lawal Toyin has won the Most Valuable Player Award at the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

Toyin was awarded the prestigious title after leading Radford to score a 58-42 win over Kwame Nkrumah University of Technology (KNUST) in the final game.

The electric Guard dazzled the crowd with nifty handles and big shots from three point range to lead Radford’s comeback win after his side trailed through three quarters.

Lawal hit two big three point shots in the third quarter to reduce Radford’s deficit to two points (39-41) before giving his team the game’s lead with two big shots from three point range.

This is Radford’s debut UPAC title in its third season competing in Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball competition; this special edition of the UPAC took place at the Tema Community 4 Court.

Toyin’s efforts prevented KNUST from recording two wins over Radford University after Radford lost 32-47 in the first round of games.
