Ghana’s Ben Bentil was in action for Greek side Panathinaikos in Round 19 of the 2020-2021 EuroLeague Basketball Regular Season this past week.

Panathinaikos lost 74-100 to Turkish giant Fenerbache in the latest loss for the Athens based club in Europe’s top tier continental competition.

The loss means Panathinaikos have just six wins in 19 games and ranks 15th on the 18 team standings; Fenerbache on the other hand has 10 wins and 10 losses and ranks 11th.

Bentil registered five points, two rebounds, a steal and three assists in 15 minutes of play off the bench he scored two of five shot attempts including a converted three point shot.

The Sekondi native has made more appearances this season than last season; he has appeared in 16 games and averaged 4.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 13 minutes.

Losing to Fenerbache makes Panathinaikos’ qualification to the playoffs very difficult with only the top eight teams in the standings set to progress.

Russian side CSKA Moscow leads the standings with 15 wins and five losses.
