Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian Center Nathan Mensah is averaging double figures in scoring for the first time in his College career.

The third year San Diego State University Men’s Basketball Team Member is averaging 10.2 points through 13 games in the 2020-2021 Season.

In two prior seasons, Mensah has missed out on averaging double figures since making his debut with The Aztecs in the 2018-2019 season.

Mensah averaged 5.6 points, 1.1 blocks and 5.5 rebounds in 18 minutes across 34 games in his first year and improved his numbers to 6.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 20.2 minutes in just 13 games.

His reduced number of appearances was down to a respiratory issue that forced him to miss the rest of the 2019-2020 campaign as he recovered from surgery.

6 foot 10 inch Mensah could end up averaging a double double for the season should he continue his markedly improved form.

He is averaging 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 23.2 minutes. San Diego plays Air Force on Saturday, January 23.
