Basketballghana.com can report an intra team scrimmage by members of Spintex Knights Basketball Club took place at the Aviation Social Club in Accra, Ghana.
The scrimmage was organized to honour team founders Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi and Eli Tetteh Bedzrah who celebrated their birthdays recently.
The Dubbed Team Fonzy v Team Eli, the exercise had members of the team compete under the respective banners in what could be described as part of the team’s pre season activities.
Team Fonzy led by Dr. Opoku-Antwi clinched a 182-166 win over Team Eli with Team Fonzy represented by the likes of Elvis Pobi-Siaw, Abdul Bashiru and new recruit Muhaimin “Astro” Guba.
Team Eli was headlined by guys like Emmanuel Ocquaye, Benjamin Omari and Gabriel Numarworse who missed out on a win in the scrimmage.
Spintex Knights is prepping for the upcoming Tema Basketball League season after a standout debut campaign in 2019 that had the team make the finals series but fall to Nungua Coldstore.
The start date for the next campaign is yet to be officially communicated by the League.
