The outbreak of the corona virus pandemic has had a lasting effect on lives in the world especially the sporting world and that includes Ghana.

Over the past year since the first cases of COVID 19 were reported in March 2020, sports in the West African country has labored under the harsh measures enforced to ensure the spread of the virus is contained.

Multiple events across multiple sports disciplines had to be postponed or totally cancelled thanks to a total ban on contact sports in the country in connection with halting the spread of the virus.

One of such events hurt by the recent COVID circumstances includes the Ghana Technical University Association (GHATUSA) Games which were slated to take place this year.

The last held edition was in 2019 with the final games in basketball taking place on this date at the Accra Technical University Court.

In the Women’s Division, Takoradi Technical University shocked host Accra Technical with 21-19 win but Takoradi lost 25-38 to Accra Technical in the Men’s Division Final.
