Basketballghana.com can confirm the Easter Monday Basketball Championship is scheduled to take place in Ho on April 5 to celebrate the Christian-themed holiday.

The one day tournament is expected to attract basketball players and fans in and around Ghana’s Volta regional capital, Ho; The Ho Sports Stadium will host the event.

Teams interested in competing in the tournament are required to register with organizers prior to the competition date; attractive prizes are available for outstanding teams basketballghana.com gathers.

Kyekyeku Basketball Academy and Swiss 93.3 FM are the partners behind the tournament with Melcom and Adonai Estates sponsoring the tournament.

The upcoming tournament is the first major organized basketball event of the year as Ghana continues to battle the corona virus pandemic.

COVID 19 protocols including washing of hands at the Ho Stadium entrance and wearing of nose masks for fans are to enforced at the competition.

The West African nation is gradually coming out of a ban on all contact sports that was enforced last year in the early stages of the pandemic.
