Basketballghana.com gathers players to compete in the upcoming Easter Monday Basketball Tournament will get COVID 19 vaccine shots before participating in the tournament.

The one day tournament takes place at the Ho Sports Stadium in Ghana’s Volta Regional capital on April 5, 2021 to mark the Christian themed holiday.

Two Medical Doctors are in line to oversee the vaccination process ahead of the big day to ensure safety for all connected to the competition.

Vaccination takes place from Tuesday, March 30 to Friday, April 2 and players of prospective teams are to contact the organizers for further details.

Ghana recently received the first batch of COVID 19 vaccines; 600,000 jabs of the AstraZeneca Vaccine arrived in the country earlier this month as the fight to beat the virus continues.

To meet safety protocols, wearing of nose masks and washing of hands at entry points would be required on the competition day. This is the first major basketball competition to be held this year as COVID 19 restrictions continue to ease.
