KNUST (Green) v Radford at 2021 UPAC

Information reaching Baasketballghana.com indicates Spintex Knights Basketball Club has acquired the services of Mubarak Alhassan and Gustav Asiedu-Addo.

The players were captured in separate moves as Knights continue to bolster its already impressive collection of talent on its roster.

Alhassan plays the Center position and Asiedu-Addo plays the Shooting Guard position; Alhassan played for Team Heat in previous seasons in the Tema Basketball League.

Prior to the signing, the two players featured on opposite sides in the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

Alhassan played for Radford University College while Gustav starred for Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). KNUST beat Radford 47-32 in the first meeting but lost 46-58 in the final as Radford clinched its first ever UPAC title.

The additions makes Spintex’s formidable roster that already has reigning Tema League Most Valuable Player more formidable as the team’s continues its brilliant acquisitions in an elongated offseason.

The start date of the Tema League is yet to be announced due to restrictions related to the corona virus pandemic in Ghana.
