Basketballghana.com can confirm a trio of West African nations dominates Group C for the upcoming FIBA African Nations Basketball Championship (AfroBasket).
This comes after the draw for the 2021 edition of the continental tournament was conducted a few hours ago; the competition is slated to take place from August 24 to September 5 at the Kigali Arena in Rwanda.

The Kigali Arena is hosting the inaugural edition of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) at the time of writing; BAL is an NBA-FIBA Africa event with club sides from African countries competing for honours.

Nigeria, Mali and Ivory Coast and Kenya make up Group C and the draw puts the group in the Group of Death conversation. Group B has defending champions Tunisia, Egypt, Central African Republic and Guinea.

Group D has Senegal, Cameroon and debutant South Sudan with an open slot just as Group A has host nation Rwanda, Angola and DR Congo with an open slot.
