Braves of Customs Women’s Basketball Club gets its Accra Basketball League (ABL) 2021 season underway later today with recapturing the division title as the main objective.
The team plays Ghana Army later today at 14:00 GMT at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra in the first of two games in the division.
Galaxy Basketball Academy faces off against ABL newbie Basketball School Academy (BSA) in the follow up game at 15:30 GMT. BSA’s men’s team pulled off a win on its debut earlier this week at the same venue.
Braves missed out on defending its 2018 league title after losing out in the Finals Series to Ghana Police Service in 2019; Police got its campaign off with an emphatic 70-29 win over University of Ghana.
Customs is in Group B of the Women’s Division with Galaxy, BSA, Army and Reformers of Prisons in a group format for the league to see out the regular season in the present campaign.
Adenta Leopards play Kawukudi Warriors in the Men’s Division I at 17:00 GMT.
