Basketballghana.com can confirm Italian Shooting Guard/ Small Forward of Ghanaian descent Awudu Abass is one of three players to resign with Virtus Bologna after winning the 2020-2021 season.

Bologna bagged the Italian Serie A league title at the expense of Olimpia Milano in a four game Finals Series. The title was Abass’ second in his professional career with his first league title coming in 2018 during his time at Milano.

28 year old Abass signed a three year contract extension earlier this offseason to stay with Bologna after spending two seasons at Germani Brescia before moving to Virtus.

Virtus has signed six players thus far in the offseason including Nigeria International Ekpe Udoh who just completed at the Tokyo Olympics. Udoh has NBA experience with Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz.
