Fire (white) v Navy in ABL Women's Division

Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Navy Female Basketball Team has clinched a 12 point win over Ghana Fire Service in the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division Regular Season matchup.

Navy beat Fire Service 31-19 earlier today at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra in the first of three games played out at the venue. The latest win underlines Navy’s fine form this season.

Match Report

Navy held an 18-15 lead over Fire at the end of the third quarter.

Juliana Cudjoe scored all two free throws to open the scores in the final quarter. Kusi-Appiah added two more points for Navy. Teresa Dodoo scored a layup for Fire in response.

Navy’s Delore Azirs drained one of two free throws to put Navy up 23-17 with 4:05 minutes remaining. Azirs delivered a huge block on Ruth Dede.

Cudjoe put three more points up from the charity stripe and Kusi-Appiah assisted Azir’s layup in transition. Lawrencia Adjetey hit a jump shot to end Fire’s scoring drought but Cudjoe scored a fast break layup to end the game with Navy grabbing the win.
