Basketballghana.com can confirm members on Team Van-Ess for the upcoming Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) Elections have been unveiled.
The reveal comes as the race for the GBBA Presidential Seat and other top rank positions heats up; the elections are due to be held at the Accra Sports Stadium Media Center in Ghana’s capital Accra on Saturday, October 30.
Presidential Hopeful Ato Van-Ess leads the team that has Accra Basketball League Director Alex Kukula, GBBA Vice President Iddrissu Ayambire and Aurora Commodore-Toppar on it.
Kukula and Ayambire are in the race positions of GBBA Vice President Finance and Administration and Technical and Developmental Programmes respectively.
Commodore-Toppar is vying for the GBBA Teasurer seat and forms part of an experienced group that is led by the former President and Board Chairman of the Western Regional Basketball Association Ato Van-Ess.
The 18 constituents eligible to a vote at the congress are expected to be represented at the event by two people. Team Van-Ess is expected to highlight key areas in its manifesto to develop Ghana basketball further in the coming days.
