Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Center Amida Brimah played a starring role in Mets De Guaynabo’s close win over Leones de Ponce.

Mets beat Ponce 83-80 in Game 6 of the BSN Playoffs in the Puerto Rican top flight basketball league earlier today. Brimah missed Game 5 after getting suspended for his involvement in a physical altercation; Mets went on to lose 67-105 with Brimah.

On his return, the former Indiana Pacers defender registered 15 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks in 36:40 minutes as a starter. He led all players in rebounds and blocks.

Brimah efficient scoring the ball as he converted five of eight two point shot attempts and converted five of six free throw attempts. Nine of his rebound count came on the defensive end.

Amida was one of five Mets players to score in double digits with Renaldo Balkman leading the way with 18 points. Jonathan Han scored the game winning basket to send Mets to the semifinals. (Click highlighted text to watch Han’s game winning shot)
