6 foot 10 inch Center Amida Brimah was a rebound and a block shy of recording a unique triple double in Game 4 of the 2021 BSN Finals Playoff series.

Brimah played a key role in Mets de Guaynabo’s 95-80 win over Capitanes Arecibo to tie the best of seven games series in the finals of Puerto Rico’s top flight basketball league. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)

In 38:27 minutes in Game 4, Brimah registered 18 points, nine rebounds and nine blocks while adding two assists to his credit. Game 5 is on Monday, November 15.

After getting acquired in midseason following an exit from NBA outfit Indiana Pacers, Brimah has been a revelation for Guaynabo. Prior to Game 4, he was averaging 14 points, 10.3 rebounds and 4.4 blocks per game in the Finals series.

This would have been the first triple double of Brimah’s career since turning pro in 2017 after graduating from University of Connecticut. He won the 2018 NBA Gatorade League title with Austin Spurs and two more wins guarantees him the BSN league title.
