Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian Center Nathan Mensah has moved into the top three places on San Diego State University Men’s Basketball Team’s all time blocks list.

The 6 foot 10 inch defender now ranks third overall on the statistical list after surpassing Malcolm Thomas’s record of 127 rejected shots.

Mensah moved past Thomas after registering four blocks in a 62-55 win over University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) in San Diego State’s latest outing in the US Men’s College Basketball 2021-2022 Regular Season.

The win was San Diego State’s ninth win in 12 games this season; aside producing a stellar performance rejecting shots, Mensah added 10 points, an assist and seven rebounds in the game. (Click highlighted text to view game highlights)

Mensah, who is in his Senior Year, now has 130 blocks to his name to occupy third place on the all time list that is led by Skylar Spence’s 303 mark. Leonard Allen ranks second with 214 blocks.

San Diego State University plays University of Nevada on Saturday, January 8.
