Basketballghana.com can confirm three fixtures in Division II are to be played out today to open the 2022 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Season.

The games are scheduled to be played at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Ghana’s capital, Accra; the league start date was originally set in late February.

TurboJets take on Spartans in the first of three games at 15:00 GMT before home side Juniour Reformers play Accra Flames and new side Mambas take on Gbawe Basketball Academy in the final game.

20 teams are competing in this year’s Division II and have been drawn into groups with each group having at least six teams; the top two teams in each group qualify to the playoffs with two third best placed teams.

Navy (Blue) v TUSK

TUSK Foundation is the defending champion and has been seeded alongside fellow 2021 finalists Ghana Navy and Galaxy Basketball Academy.

 The Men’s Division I and Women’s Division have nine teams competing in each division and each division will play out the regular season in an all play all format.
