The waiver recognizes Tema League as a community basketball tournament hence players who compete in the competition are still eligible to play in the 2021-2022 ABL Season.

Prior to the move, players weren’t allowed to compete in multiple league tournaments in Ghana as part of enforcing rules by the regional basketball associations to streamline activities across board.

The ABL Season commenced on March 8 and has nine teams competing in the Men’s Division I with 20 teams competing in the Men’s Division II.
