Basketball School Academy -BSA- Director and Co-Founder Emmanuel Lartey has commended RITE Sports for coming up with the Basketball Honours.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com ahead of the big night slated to take place on Friday, June 17 at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly-AMA.
The Awards Scheme is to recognize persons and organizations that have played key roles in the development of basketball in Ghana particularly those connected to the successes of RITE Sports powered programs Sprite Ball Xpressions and UPAC.
‘I think it is about time we realize these grassroots programs and what they are doing to support Ghana Basketball. All these players come from the grassroots before they go to the High Schools and University Games and all that but it seems nobody is taking a look at them…For you-RITE Sports-bringing this honour for all these Coaches and Grassroot programs, I think is the best way for us to move forward’ he said. Sprite Ball Xpressions is the biggest High School basketball tournament in Ghana and the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges-UPAC- Basketball Championship is the biggest basketball tournament for tertiary level student athletes.
