Basketballghana.com can confirm Olimpia Milano will compete in the 2021-2022 Italian Serie A Basketball League Final against Virtus Bologna.
It is the second straight season, the teams will face off to decide the league winner; Bologna won four straight games to sweep the best of seven games series in the 2021 Final.
Ghana Forward Ben Bentil joined Milano after the 2021 season and will compete in his final in his debut season in Italy. Milano beat Sassari 87-69 in Game 3 to seal progression. [Click highlighted text to watch game highlights]
Milano won three games in a row to qualify at the expense of Sassari; series in the quarterfinal and semifinal stage are determined in the best of five games series unlike the finals that has up to seven games to be played. Defending champion Bologna swept Tortona in its respective series.
Bentil played 13 minutes as a starter in Game 3 registering three points, three rebounds and an assist along the way. Tommaso Baldasso led Milano with 17 points; Bentil scored 10 points in Game One’s win over Sassari.
