Chief Executive Officer of Award winning Sports Event Organizing firm RITE Sports Limited, Yaw Sakyi Afari, has stated the upcoming Basketball Honours marks the company’s return to roll out basketball related programs in the aftermath of the COVID 19 Pandemic.

The Pandemic that resulted in a ban on public gatherings and contact sports including basketball prevented the firm from organizing top rated events like the Sprite Ball Championship and Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges [UPAC] Basketball Championship.

The Basketball Honours is an Award scheme designed to recognize the efforts of players, coaches and organizations roles in the success of Sprite Ball, UPAC and ‘general basketball growth in Ghana’ over the past decade.

Basketball Honours takes place at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly [AMA] Headquarters in Ghana’s capital, Accra on Friday, June 17. Several high ranking stakeholders are expected to attend the event.
