After taking a 2-0 series lead, Scafati has lost back to back games to Cantu heading into Game 5 on Wednesday, June 14 to decide the team that progresses to the 2022 Serie A2 Final Game.

Veteran Ghanaian-Italian Combo Guard David Cournooh who joined Scafati from relegated Serie A side Vanoli Cremona, has been used mainly off the bench but in Game 4’s loss he moved into the starting lineup.

However, Cournooh’s 10 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal in 35 minutes outing couldn’t prevent Scafati from losing 68-77.

The long tenured Point Guard/ Shooting Guard struggled with his shot as he scored just one of six two point shot attempts and two of six three point shots though he scored all two free throws.

A win tonight qualifies either Scafati or Cantu to the final series against Verona; Verona qualified to the finals at the expense of Pistoia.

Cournooh won the Serie A title with Virtus Bologna and has experience competing in the EuroCup.
