The maiden edition of the Basketball Honours Awards is slated to come off later tonight at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Headquarters.
The program commences at 18:00 GMT and Basketballghana.com gathers a full house is expected at the Omanye Aba Hall inside the AMA Headquarters.
The Basketball Honours is an Award scheme that is set up to honour individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to basketball development in Ghana.
Personalities and organizations will get honoured in various categories including the Best High School Girls Basketball Team and High School Coach of the Year (Male Division). Both awards are to be handed out with respect to performances related to the Sprite Ball Championship.
The Sprite Ball is Ghana’s biggest High School basketball competition and is organized by RITE Sports Limited the company that organizes the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges- UPAC- Basketball Championship.
Several high delegates from institutions and the Ghana Basketball fraternity are expected to be in attendance tonight. A cocktail party precedes the main event that has Award winning Rapper Edem billed to perform.
