The results of the logo design competition of the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) are nearing the announcement date according to information derived from the GBBA’s official Twitter page.

The competition was introduced by the Association to reel in more creative ideas for a new logo for the Association in the wake of new executives’ election to power.

On January 22, entries on designs for a new logo were halted with the results set to be announced some weeks later. However, the announcement has yet to be made.

Basketballghana.com can confirm that according to the GBBA, the process attracted a ton of interests and the Association is sorting through the entries to pick the best design to represent the GBBA; the process is 85% complete. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)

GBBA President Ato Van-Ess

Late in 2021, Ato Van-Ess was elected as President to take over from David Addo Ashong who served as President for 11 years. The new Executive Board has since gone on to sign an MoU with the Lithuanian Basketball Federation.
