Nothing will please Emmanuel Wobil than to see him wash the memories of two years ago after his side delivered an epic shooting performance – and one of the finals’ signature moments against the University of Education, Winneba.

You may hate him or like him for his taught talk posture, but Wobil has carved a niche for himself in the coaching credentials of basketball in Ghana.

He is regarded as the drama king of Ghana basketball and his presence on the baseline has added impetus to this year’s GUSA games.

The head coach of the University of Ghana basketball team has being the main pillar behind the success story of the country premier university. His tactics and antics on the baseline have dazzled fans after four days of matches in the GUSA games.

He believes he has the technical- know to guide UG to reclaim honours for the school and he is bent on achieving that.

Both the male and female teams are into the semi-finals of the GUSA games – an indication of how eager he is to sweep the two top awards by Wednesday.

The male side comes up against highly fancied KNUST while their female counterpart tackles UEW in an expected explosive affair.

He shouts and screams at his charges to get the best out of them and honestly it has worked so far for him.

A potential final against nemesis UEW in the boys division could capped an incredible run for him and move him from greatness to a legendary status.

He can’t get better than that. Can he?

Wobil is upbeat about his sides’ chances to go a step further in this year’s GUSA games and he claims his charges are hungry for revenge against UEW.

‘It has not being easy to erase our loss last two years and that has being the motivation for us this year’ Wobil told basketballghana.com

‘We want to go a step further and that is why we’re taken one match after the other. First is to beat KNUST and then we can think of either UEW or University of Mines and Technology’.

‘Of course we will love to play the champions again and see how it goes’. he added
