Daniel Sowah remains upbeat about the chances of his side despite their opening defeat in the 2010 edition of the Community Dunks.

Cantonment were stunned by new entrant Teshie-Nungua at the University of Ghana basketball in the second game of the day on Saturday.

The result means the defending champions must negotiate their next two ties to increase their chances of making it into the knockout phase.

They tackle Ashaiman next on September 18 and the tough-taking boss insists they’re still in the frame to defend the title they won in 2009.

‘We accept defeat in good faith but obviously its part of the game but that won’t distract our quest to win the title for the second time in a row’. Sowah said.

‘You win sometimes and lose sometimes. That’s the beauty of the game and this defeat will even make us a better team next time and so expect to see a totally transform side next week. It’s first match and so it normal they were a bit sluggish but we will get better with time.

‘Teshie-Nungua has a good team and they deserve the win but we’ll be back’. he concluded
