Champions Ketasco opened the defence of the Volta regional Sprite Ball Championship with a comfortable 29- 11 victory over Kajebi Asatu in front of a packed crowd on Saturday.

The boys from Keta showed class and pure magic to run riot over their opponent in a cheeky win at the Mawuko Girls senior high

The two sides produced a sell-out-crowd as fans sang and chanted to support their respective teams.

Keta showed early signs of annexing the trophy they won last with a sweet free flowing game in the first quarter taking 11-1 lead. Fiabge was the key man for the defending champions displaying sheer individual brilliance to inspire his side to their first victory in the 2010 championship.

In the second boys game of the day, Three Town Senior high posted 15-5 victory over Awudome in their debut appearance in the competition. The new boys exhibited sublime piece of skills on the court showing team spirit and chemistry to kill off the challenge of their opponent to send fans into rapturous applause.

v  Hohoe Evangelical Pentecost boys recorded a famous 19-13 victory over Akatsi senior high in their first match at the Mawuko senior high basketball court in front of a packed crowd who cheered them on to victory
