The rivalry between Ridge and Cantonment is expected to escalate to an all-time high when the two meet in the second group game of the 2012 Greater Accra Indomie Community Dunks on August 11.

Cantonments are smarting from their 26-22 victory over Nima-Maamobi and will be in buoyant mood against a Ridge side that saw their opening game ending in a humiliating defeat against Burma camp.

The two communities have always stirred controversy in the past with a bragging right touted of the many reasons they games always attract numbers.

Two experienced long pals will be on the touchline for their respective clubs with coach Prosper Ablor expected to be on the bench for Cantonment while Francis Wilson will have to inspire the team from the Ridge corner.

In the day’s other games, Labadi could almost but seal their qualification to the semi-finals if they beat James Town with Town needing to pick themselves up following their opening day defeat to Dansoman.

Nima-Maamobi will tackle high-scoring Burma camp while Dansoman go into their encounter against Adabraka as the favourites.

The games will take place at the CYCC basketball court at Kawukudi in Accra and expected to attract thousands to the venue.
