St Thomas Aquinas recorded a narrow 21-20 win over Ghana Lebanon Islamic School in their opening group C match on Friday.

The 2013 edition of the Sprite Ball Championship is already producing amazing power-play at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.

The two Greater Accra schools opened their clash with some sweet flowing game with both teams displaying dexterity on the centre court.

Aquinas stole the march off their opponent with a last gasp three pointer from power forward Benjamin Otoo to seal the narrow victory.

Ghana Under-18 star Patrick Kobby Adjetey put up a stirred display to inspire the Eastern Regional-based side team as they strolled to a 20-14 success at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.

Parading players like of Emmanuel Lamptey, Collins Nartey, Dompreh Darlington, Owusu Jason, and Kelly Boeson, Temasco put up a resolute performance but was not enough to hand them the maximum points in the opening game.

After Mfantsipim beat Keta School of Business in the other group match, the stakes are high in group A with Temasco and Ketabusco needing desperately to win their next group game.
